Artistry
As an independent perfume studio, we have developed our own style and approach when creating fragrances. Experience lends to specific ways of combining aromatic materials in precise proportions that create harmonious blends. Just as a painter uses color, I use aromatics. In harmony also lies the possibility of tension, disruption and freedom to take risks. Each project comes with it’s own customized approach. When working with clients I carve out the necessary time and energy to listen and collaborate to bring the olfactive vision to life. Most importantly the end result must evoke the emotion intended to be experienced while simultaneously representing the personality of the brand.
Strategy
When creating a perfume for consumer markets it's imperative to understand how to connect the creative brief and emotional value of the fragrance to the consumer in your target demographic. Using years of accumulated experience in the fragrance industry and commercial insight, together we take a wider scope to develop a strategy that communicates the essence of your brand and your products to your target market and its changing dynamics.
Technicality
Fragrance formulation comes with achieving balance of creativity and adhering to regulatory compliance and technical specs of each project. Every fragrance I create at the minimum follows the guidelines set forth by the IFRA, most often that also includes CA regulations such as Prop 65 and broader global compliance for entering EU, UK and Canadian markets. Specific technical formulary details are never overlooked as each project must adapt to the use of materials that are of optimal performance for each. We source our materials from the finest of suppliers like IFF, Givaudan, Biolandes, Mane and Robertet and vet each ingredient to maintain social and sustainable parameters of the highest caliber.

Beckie Sheloske
Beckie Sheloske is a New England based independent perfumer distinguished by her complex and innovative fragrance compositions. Her work is characterized by elegance, niche appeal, and intuitive finesse. Sheloske’s signature lies in her ability to showcase aromatic materials with a rare sophistication in her work. An aspect of her creative approach often involves welcoming creative constraints forcing her to find new ways to produce novel effects. Each of her creations intends to be a new olfactory experience, moving the wearer away from invoking past emotional scent memories towards the freedom to create future ones.
